I have entered 10 Targa Tasmania Events and of those I have finished 9 out of 10 and obtained 9 Targa trophies including Gold and Platinum.

During these events I have used a broad range of semi slick tyres and I have to say that the R888 Toyo is without a doubt the best all round tyre for this event! The R888’s are great in the wet and the dry, and after all the wet weather we had in the 2009 event, I never had one moment where these tyres let go, they performed excellent!

Also the wear on the tyres after the event was less than 50%, so I know I can push harder and faster this year.

This year I am back in the field for 2010, early Modern, and will be able to go faster with confidence running the R888’s. I would not hesitate to recommend these to any person competing in Targa style events.

I am also using these tyres for testing in Japan in the mountains of Nagano and on track days on several circuits throughout Japan and they are great all round motor sport tyres.
