In achieving this, Toyo Tyre & Rubber Australia Limited will:

- Review and continually improve our EMS, with the objective of improving our overall environmental performance,
- Seek to prevent pollution through a Prevention of Pollution Hierarchy before it is produced,
- Minimise negative impacts we may have on the environment through the efficient use of resources and recycling, thus reducing emissions and waste,
- Develop a framework for setting and reviewing our environmental objectives and targets.
- Provide regular monitoring and reporting against these indicators to all employees.
- Consider favourably suppliers that pursue good environmental management practices.
- Externally communicate openly and constructively with responsible environmental interests, government authorities, and the community in general,
- Promote a strong environmental ethic within the company, fostered through training, environmental activities and leadership, resulting in a strong environmentally aware business culture.
